We’re thrilled to announce that the Mow Cop Killer Mile is set for an exciting transformation, thanks to a generous multi-year sponsorship from Chaffinch, a leading Staffordshire-based document management company. This partnership aims to elevate the event as it celebrates its 37th race in 44 years, introducing a fresh new look and an enhanced runner experience.
Exciting Changes Ahead
Chaffinch has embarked on a comprehensive rebranding strategy, which includes:
- A new, user-friendly website serving as the central information hub
- Dedicated social media channels to engage with our community
- Promotional video content showcasing the challenge and excitement of the race
- Enhanced prize fund and new awards, ensuring more participants are recognised for their achievements

🏃 Capacity: Over 1,000 runners (Last year: 668 participants)
📍 Route: From Drumber Lane to Mow Cop Castle Car Park
📈 Elevation: A 570-foot ascent, with sections reaching a 25% gradient
This year, the event will feature four distinct races:
- Junior Race
- Fun Run A
- Elite Race
- Fun Run B
