Commemorative Medals for All Finishers
This year, every finisher across all races will receive a commemorative medal, a first for our 2025 event! We believe that every participant deserves recognition for their hard work and dedication, and these medals are a great way to celebrate your achievement.
Enhanced Cash Prize Fund
We are thrilled to announce an enhanced cash prize fund of £2,000 for the Elite Race! This includes a £1,000 reward for breaking the long-standing course records, which have not been surpassed in 30 years. The current male record, set by Bashir Hussain in 1991, stands at 6:12, while the female record, held by Shireen Barbour since 1992, is 7:54. In a move to enhance inclusivity, Chaffinch is proudly matching Mow Cop Runner’s historic bounty of £1,000 for the female record-breaking winner. This is a significant step towards recognising the incredible female athletes in our community!

Elite Race Place Prizes
Additionally, we are pleased to announce new place prizes for the Elite Race, generously sponsored by Running Bear. The prizes include a £150 shoe voucher for both male and female winners, premium sweatshirts or hoodies for second place, and premium socks for third place. There will also be a prize for our first under 18 participants!
Trophies and Recognition
Trophies will be awarded in various age categories within the Elite Race, ensuring that everyone has a chance to shine. We will also recognise the first finishers, both male and female, in the Fun Runs and Junior Race. Everyone deserves to have their hard work celebrated!
Special Goody Bags for Kids
We are especially excited for our youngest participants in the Junior Race! All children who participate will receive goody bags sponsored by DJH, along with a certificate and a medal. This initiative is new for 2025 and aims to make the race experience memorable for our kids!
